Specifications
Rental Rules
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license which must be presented to Butch's Leasing LLC prior to renting
- Children under 21 must be accompanied by an adult
- Maximum weight capacity: 300 lbs
- Security deposit required ($100)
- Cancellations: full refund in case of bad weather (all day rain, predicted thunderstorms, high winds), full refund if you need to cancel with 3 days prior notice, no refund for unused rental time, we will reschedule (NOT REFUND) if you request to cancel with less than 3 days notice
- Late returns charged at $10 per 30 minutes
Kayaking Tips
Proper Paddling Technique
Use your torso to power your paddle strokes, not just your arms. This reduces fatigue and increases efficiency.
Balance is Key
Keep your center of gravity low and centered in the kayak. Avoid leaning too far to either side.
Proper Grip
Hold the paddle with hands shoulder-width apart and ensure the concave part of the blade faces you.
Safety First
Always wear your life jacket and stay aware of changing weather conditions and boat traffic.
Stay Hydrated
Bring water in a secure bottle to stay hydrated, especially on hot summer days on the lake.
