Our Story
Back in 1985 we were a little corner store on Torch Lake. Forty-odd years later, we rent the boats, fry the chicken, and stock the swag — same lake, same family, a whole lot more fun.
We're born-and-raised locals who never left, and it shows: we know the best coves, the calmest mornings, and exactly what you need for a killer day on the water.
These days Butch's is your one-stop for everything Torch Lake — boat & jet ski rentals, gas at the dock, our famous broasted chicken, and Up North gifts you'll actually want to take home.

Community Involvement
This lake made us, so we look after it. We sponsor local events, pitch in on lake conservation, and show up for the community that's had our back for 40 years.
Our annual Torch Lake Cleanup Day gets locals and visitors together to keep the water as blue as it should be — and yeah, it's a good time too.
Bottom line: we love this place, and we want it around for the next generation of sandbar afternoons and sunset cruises.
